Designed for pure x-c racing, it's extremely efficient and comfortable.
Unique reinforcements and nerves add laterally stiffness to chainstays, BB shell, head tube and seat tube, just right where you need it.
A-Shock system features an unmatched compliance, it's able to absorb vertical loads and hits up to 2mm, without compromising the lateral stiffnes. This translates into a very efficient but comfortable riding.
Rc1 in race trim can weight less than 6.8Kg. (15.2Lb).
A-Shock system
Only the Extralite Rc1 framesets feature "A-Shock", our original microabsorber system.
With a degree of vertical compliance and no lateral flex it provides the ultimate combination of ultra efficiency and racing comfort.
CNC Parts
Steer tube, BB shell and dropouts are CNC machined for serious functional reasons, not just for good look!
A true original concept lies in the rear-end stiffening system.
Carefully applied tensile tralices sensibly stiffen the BB shell/chainstays junction under power sprints.
Shot Peening
Shot Peening process removes machining tensions and hardens tubes surface so that fatigue resistance is greatly enhanced.
Custom Tubing
Custom drawn Scandium & 7020 T6 oversized tubes are then butted to triple thickness profiles, specifically made for Extralite Rc1 Ultra.
An extensive use of multishaped butted Scandium & 7020T6 aluminum offers the best combination: lightness and durability.
"Micro Box" and "Micro Braces" reinforcements are added to maximize power efficiency under sprinting, reflex response and overall sturdiness.
Tig Welding
The welding process passes through custom made steel jigs.
Our exclusive welding procedure ensures better frame alignment and constant manufacuring quality.
We designed our jigs to lock the frame parts in over 80 places with extremely tight tolerances.
Cable Routing

No matter how sophisticated your shift-brake system is, its performance is directly related to the quality of the cable routing on your frame. All Rc1 cables are top tube routed to give faultless shifting regardless the conditions. Housings are very short for better response and the rear deralier cable neatly passes inside the seatstay. Very safe & very cool.

Disc brake systems: Rc1 standard version has V-brake and disc mounts fully compatible with International Standard. Rc1 disc only version is not provided with V-brake mounts. |

The production of each frame unit requires days of dedicated and extremely carefull craftmanship.
Our frame manifacturing is very expensive and limited in quantity but the products are rare hand-crafted creatures.
